Spring is finally here! This means that it is time to clean and refresh your home! A good, deep spring clean is a great way to promote wellness, organization, and cleanliness. Start fresh this spring with these spring cleaning tips!

Before You Start

Purchase new cleaning supplies to ensure you are not cleaning with dirty or expired products. One of the keys to successful cleaning is effective cleaning tools. Here are some things to look for when buying new products:

Start with the Kitchen

  • The Refrigerator – clean inside, outside, on top and behind. Throw away old food, clean stains and reorganize.
  • Countertops – wipe down all counters, get rid of smudges, grime, and crumbs.
  • Backsplashes – wipe down to clean off splashes of food or stains.
  • Cabinets – wipe down both the inside and outside of the cabinet and throw out old or expired food.

Outdoors

  • Reorganize your garage and get rid of things you have not used regularly.
  • Pressure-wash your deck and outdoor furniture.
  • Wash out your garbage can and recyling bin.
  • Wash down screens with soap and water.
  • Wash outside of windows before replacing the screens.
